Camps for K-12

High School Garden Apprentice Program

  • Mondays June 25-August 1
  • Times: 9am-noon

Three high school students will be chosen via an application process to learn about organic gardening practices and to offer assistance in the garden throughout the summer.  Students can earn Service Learning volunteer hours for their time.  They will work together with Miss Holly and Mr. Shawn on Mondays and on two other days independently completing projects.

Garden Club

  • Open to all ages
  • Mondays July 2-July 30
  • Times: 10am-noon

Participants will learn how to plan, plant, care for and grow an organic garden by helping us at WMAES.  We have three gardens to learn from and will have a fresh snack each week from the garden that you will help prepare.  One week, it might be a fresh garden salad, or hummus made with our garlic, or bread or pizza made in our mud oven! Come to one program or come to all. Meet in the front garden at WMAES.
